Is your computer running slow? Maybe it is barely walking?

Many people will attribute a slow computer to a virus, or a hardware defect in their computer. Chances are you have spyware or adware that has burrowed into the depths of your operating system and using valuable resources, causing your computer to slow down.

Did you know that there are quite a few free/pay programs out there that will help solve this problem? Paying for the spyware removal software doesn't necessarily mean it is better then the free options.

I personally use a combo of 2 free programs that compliment one another (Spybot - Search & Destroy and AdAware). Both of these programs can clean your computer and have you back up to speed in no time...
Below are a few of the free options that you have. Be careful when selecting free programs for download off of the internet (including spyware removal programs) because many times they contain spyware.

I have done some research on many of the options out there and have found that Spybot & AdAware will not install unwanted programs on your computer.

These programs work well in finding and eliminating problems on your computers hard drive.

Microsoft has recently announced that they are getting into this arena, and are giving away free copies (until June of 2005) of their Beta Version, though I have not tested it:
