Fiji Shark Dive - Aquatrek

I am writing this review to be mostly separate from the Dive Op review for Aquatrek, Fiji that can be found in our Dive Op Reviews Section.
First and foremost - this dive is a MUST DO!! The videos were shot by me, and my wife took the stills (she is the one with the red accented camera housing in my videos).
We dove with the dive operation that runs the shark dive in Beqa Lagoon (Aquatrek). The 'Shark Dive' actually consists of 2 tanks, and we went 2 separate days for a total of 4 tanks - well worth the extra few bucks you pay for 'park fees'. It is a straight shot to the dive spot (about 10 minutes). Once you get there, the Dive Master's drop a huge trashcan of fish parts into the water. Ramora city! You get your dive briefing, then into the water...
The feeding 'platform' bottoms out at 93 feet for the first dive. While most will sit behind a rope boundary, we had cameras (video and photo) so we got special VIP seating for the event. The sharks are waiting by the time you get down to them, so none of the dive is wasted. The first dive was the slower of the 2 tanks (on both days), but there were plenty of sharks to see. Between 6-9 foot Bull, Nurse, Lemon, Silver Tipped, and Grey Reef sharks were the variety sharks on the dive. We had a total bottom time of about 40 minutes at 93 feet for our first dive.
The second dive was the most active on both days, and the sharks were more plentiful, and frenzied. With a depth of 66 feet and bottom time of 55 minutes, we went into deco on our computers, just because of the excitement of the dive (we never wanted to get out!).
The notable thing about the second day of shark dives was that on our surface interval of our first dive, I noticed a large Tiger Shark swimming below (the wife feels she saw it at the same time, but that is arguable).
Upon surfacing, the Dive Crew baited the waters to try and keep the large female around for our second dive. If you watch my video, you will see that it worked! Be sure to watch close as the Dive Master 'hand feeds' the 4 meter Tiger Shark! My heart races just thinking about it. She comes within a couple of feet of us (in our special VIP seats) a few times - I almost could have touched her!
Anyhow, that was exciting! They told us afterward that a Tiger Shark show up about once a month on their shark feedings, and lucky for us - it was our last dive of our entire Fiji trip!
Fiji has the best diving that we have seen, and this dive was the highlight of the trip. When we go back (hopefully soon) I will definitely do the shark dive again.

Wow, I tried as hard as I could to get the best quality out of YouTube. Unfortunately the result isn't nearly as impressive as it is on T.V.
I have a couple of ideas for future videos to make a better YouTube presentation... hey, can't complain too much for free bandwidth, right?

Ok, I think I found a better host for the video. So ignore my youtube comment above.
